[B] The following conclusions are supported by fair evidence:
In the general population, vegetarians often have either similar or higher total iron intakes than non-vegetarians, but lower heme iron intakes and lower serum ferritin levels than non-vegetarians.

Most acute studies that looked at changes in muscle protein synthesis (MPS) rates in the few hours after resistance exercise and protein ingestion found that animal-based proteins usually result in higher rates of MPS than plant proteins.
