Based primarily on the results of one well-conducted large clinical trial, vitamin E supplements appear to offer no benefit in  delaying the progression or improving motor function of people with Parkinson's disease (PD). Consumption of vitamin E-rich foods are recommended for individuals with PD and if a multivitamin supplement is consumed it should contain <30 IU alpha-tocopherol/day.
