[C] The following conclusions are supported by limited evidence or expert opinion:

Under current legislation, all provinces in Canada indicate that registered dietitians (RDs) cannot provide a diagnosis to a patient or client. However, at this time, most nutrigenetic tests are available directly to consumers without the need for a health care professional (HCP) to make the referral. Under these circumstances, therefore, it would be permissible for RDs to assist individuals in making decisions
