[A] The following conclusions are supported by good evidence:
Most studies have successfully used semi-elemental or elemental formulae in enteral feeding for patients with acute pancreatitis, and this continues to be recommended practice.

[B] The following conclusions are supported by fair evidence:
With severe acute pancreatitis, increased metabolic rate and protein catabolism are observed and patients may not tolerate oral intake. Higher energy intakes and protein intakes of 1-1.5
