Article Analysis: Infants Given Antibiotics Could Become Overweight Kids

Study Overview
Recently an observational study (longitudinal cohort) examined the relationship between antibiotic exposure in the first two years of life and subsequent weight status (weight-for-length and BMI) over the first seven years of life among 11,532 children (1). The researchers found that infants who received antibiotics before six months of age were more likely to be overweight.
