Disease Etiology
Fibromyalgia (FM) is a chronic health condition (1) characterized by widespread pain and tenderness to touch in the joints and muscles, fatigue and difficulty thinking (2). The etiology of fibromyalgia is unclear (3) despite some plausible hypotheses. Genetic predisposition, environmental influences, the presence of a coexisting disease such as depression, arthritis or a triggering event such an injury or physical stress (4) have all been implicated in disease onset. Due to the
