[B] The following conclusions are supported by fair evidence:
Practice guidelines, a case-control study and narrative reviews indicate that, for most infants, symptoms of GER do not decrease when there is a change from one milk formula to another or to soy protein formula. However, in infants who present with vomiting, GER may be associated with cow's milk protein allergy. Therefore, a two- to four-week trial of extensively hydrolyzed protein formula may be beneficial in formula-fed infants
