[A] The following conclusions are supported by good evidence:

Hormone replacement therapy, whether in the form of estrogen alone or in combination with progesterone, does not lead to weight gain nor does it lead to a shift in body fat distribution to a more central or abdominal fat pattern amongst peri- or post-menopausal women.

 

[B] The following conclusions are supported by fair evidence:
Results from three systematic reviews and a number of recent randomized controlled trials
