Dietitians can use this positive association to their advantage in promoting good nutrition through family meals. While there is a fairly solid and growing body of evidence on the nutritional benefit of family meals to older children and adolescents, there is a dearth of evidence on the benefit of family meals to families with toddlers and preschoolers.
