Systematic reviews and meta-analyses found that adverse events related to soy consumption were similar in soy-exposed (foods or supplements) individuals/groups to those who were not soy exposed. The exceptions were gastrointestinal (GI) complaints and menstrual complaints, which were higher among subjects consuming soy. Other adverse effects were noted, although these effects were not significantly different between soy-exposed groups
