[B] The following conclusions are supported by fair evidence:

Healthy menopausal women consuming supplemental flaxseed (25-40 g daily) experience comparable improvements in menopausal symptoms as observed with wheat germ or wheat flour placebo or soy flour. Because it is unclear whether the severity of menopausal symptoms impact results, additional studies are required to establish whether flaxseed is effective for moderate to severe menopausal symptoms.
