[B] The following conclusions are supported by fair evidence:
Results of clinical trials indicate that early postoperative feeding (within 24 hours of surgery) compared to delayed feeding is not associated with adverse effects and may improve some outcomes associated with overall patient recovery. Early feeding can be recommended after laparoscopic surgery, laparotomy and gynecological surgery.

Clinical trials conducted in individuals after abdominal surgey have found no benefit of fluid
