Disease Etiology

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) includes any disease or injury of the heart, the blood vessels of the heart and the blood vessels throughout the body and in the brain. Coronary artery disease or coronary heart disease (CHD) is a condition in which the blood supply to the heart is partially or completely blocked. Stroke is a form of CVD resulting from a blood flow problem in the brain.
 
The main cause of CHD is atherosclerosis, which is a gradual build up of cholesterol
