[B] The following conclusions are supported by fair evidence:
A few RCTs on the efficacy of various hypocaloric low carbohydrate diets (LCDs) for weight loss also provided nutrient analysis of the first eight to 12 weeks of the diet. Nutrient intakes on the diets were compared to baseline intakes. The main results are as follows:
