[C] The following conclusions are supported by limited evidence or expert opinion:
Clinical practice guidelines state that the use of natural health products (dietary supplements) are not recommended for glycemic control due to a lack of sufficient evidence related to efficacy and safety.
 
The evidence is insufficient to support the use of dietary supplements alone or as an adjunct to conventional medications, and the long-term safety has not been established for many products.
