All children, starting at age two years, should have their weight and height measured and plotted on the appropriate WHO Child Growth Standard to facilitate the identification of a child’s growth pattern and weight status. BMI should be calculated and plotted on the appropriate WHO growth chart. (Note: this is in place of the previously recommended CDC growth charts).
